rambling at 5.30
Sau Khoon is deep asleep now, its 5.30 pm.I myself, however, couldnt get to sleep.anway, he'll be staying here until he sets of to spain with some bunch of friends.
Theres alot more work on the table, but being a procastinator, i cant be bothered to do it at this hour. Theres nothing due tmrw, just that i need to do some catching up on my reading and re-do the tutorial questions to understand better. have to change, i know. my work isnt that good lately..
Tmrw will be the last day of term.
apart of trying to study, i might go for a lil travelling..

Goldman Sachs symposium
the symposium went quite well as a matter of fact.. gotta meet new friends, widen my network, and also learn quite alot about the nature of GS.
anyway,
i started off my day by having a cold shower around 730am. thats the earliest shower i had in ages. hahaha. Finding the GS building wasnt that hard, its on fleet st, just east of LSE.
Apparently, it was a very long day.. we had talks by various people from each division, namely FICC, IBD, IMB, and OT&F. We also had the chance to talk to representatives from the various work segments in the bank. Obviously there was information overflow.. equity, leverage, shorting, M&A.. and all those jargons..
luckily, food was provided.. the food was excellent, and the service ( by waiters) was superb. Well, thats expected,i would say from an established and prestigeous investment bank. making outlays on events like this wud only take less than 0.1% of their total daily revenue.
The highlight of the day would be speaking with the representatives, and also the visit to the trading floor

badminTOON
nothing much happened today except for badminton. It was fun as i havent been playing any sports for ages.
Sundays always have been a lazy-day. If not for nabeela calling at 230, id still be in bed. Btw, i didnt bother to go for malaysian society's football at regents park. It was too cold outside, even when i finally got myself walking towards somerset sports centre at 3.
Badminton was ok, but i played like a beginner. F"king forgotten the tricks, and theres no more accuracy in my shots.
I got back around 5 and as i can remember, did laundry and cooked a late lunch/dinner.Its wierd to call it lunch, since its already dark outside and the moon is clearly visible.
And now, i just realised that i have to finish up maths coursework and do some reading for tmrw's lecture.
I better get going..

A day with some events
boyy, for a while, i thought i wont be posting any entries here anymore. but well, guess whos back. uhh.. me? hehe. ok thats lame..
theres actually so much to say. itll take me a day if i wanted to backdate all the events that had happened since the first day im in london.
thus, lets just settle with today..
first of all,Im surprise that after a long day, i feel like writing.(not to mention that i didnt sleep the whole last night as i had slept for abt 5 hours last evening)
ok, back to what happened today.
abt 9am sudden thought of reading a book got to me. by 11am i was already at waterstones, browsing over selves of fiction books. they have this 3 for the price of 2 books offer but i cudnt find the right combination of books.at last,i ended up buying one,"out" by natsuo kirino.
later at 1230, as planned, i met firdaus, amanda, farahana and jas in front of Satay House.We had a casual lunch with our Dewan Rakyat Speaker, Tan Sro Ramli Ngah Talib. His wife, Raja puan sri Dato Noora Ashikin was present too (phew, what a long name, its not even her full name).I would say that both of them was very friendly. It was a wonderful luncheon; great discussion abt various topics.. dewan rakyat, suggestions for students, current issues, etc.. and not to forget great foodd! ada sambal petai!.the squid was fabulous too.
And guess what, our name cards are ready.[click here to view the card] Jacob passed it to us just now. It looks very official tho.. haha.. a lil bit poyo when i thing of it again..
...after parting ways...i went to carphone warehouse and finally got my phone, Sony Ericsson W800.woooot hehe..
hope nothing goes wrong... no catch in the ccontract, no mulfunctions ect.
cool day huh?
One more week of lectures and tutorials to go, after which ill have a 3 weeks cristmas break. cant wait..

its been a while again since i last posted...
and of course, there were quite some events that took place since..
i just got back from BTN camp,a short for Biro tata negara. Its some camp abt instilling the pride to be malaysian, the load of being a small-diplomat when i go overseas. some call it a brainwashing camp. But it wasnt that bad, although i see abit of politics here and there. One thing i can say, the camp was fun. met new friends,and the rules arent that strict. The worst part is that u have to sit for a whole day for ceramah abt our nation.. haih..
anyway, i went taylor's to collect my results today and met a few of lecturers. Guess what? i found out that i scored an A for socio's paper3, which made it impossible that my overall result for socio is a C. But taylors had written to UCLES on the release date, enquiring the matter.And, and just as i got home, i got a phone call and my socio result has been revised. So now 4A's it is. I dont care, i want the Star to publish an amended list of top scorers! hahaa.. big headed arent I??

effortless entry
.. and i thought i did try to calm her down yesterday. the bit to make her happy ammounted to nothing? felt like i wasnt putting any effort. like what i tried was worthless. haih. today i tried to make things clear by telling where im going. guess it doesnt work quite well?
i just hope u will settle ur problem. i would suggest u seek advice from a counselor. a career counselor.. take career tests that can help u understand urself, ur minat/kecenderungan..

All the credits strewn,

But I missed the best part,

some words from incubus, 11am.pops up suddenly when im abt to write.
anyway, as in my case.. dont think the credits are strewn away to waste. and i dont think i missed the best part. Im talking abt my part-time job at a&w(M) support center( or previously known as HQ).
tmrws my last day at work.(or will it be?? hehe.. ill speak on this later). finally i guess.. one tiring month of waking up early and dressing up properly.. but i guess it was worth it. i gained a lot. like the way people actually apply their various knowlegde at work. te business procedures/protocol.. how to interact with colleages which are older than u, teamwork..and i wud say the politics at work. conflicts, conflicts and sumore conflicts.. especially because i came in when a new ceo was appointed.
the best part is that i dont only get to learn the good part. i also get to learn the bad part. like the weaknesses the company has and the various problems it is having.
wait.. conflicts are bad too right?? haha
oh yeah. the "tmrw last day" part. well, not to be boastful,during the department meeting today, they kinda urged me extend my service for another week. sian my bos.. banyak kerja kat accounts department. sampai migrane.. hehhee..
but i think ive made up my mind.. ive achieved what i set to achieve by working :)
.so basically, i guess i did a great job huh?? :P bangga sket. haha
enough of work. Im thinking of going back kedah someday next week or this weekend.
i dont have the deeds to this land,
